Let me begin by saying, “God is good all the time and all the time God is good!” While recently in the mountains of Colorado God revealed to me some action plans for ministry I am to implement. Some of these plans involve Town East Baptist Church and some of them are personal to me and my family. I will from time to time most likely share both with you.
First and foremost my desire for our church, my family and me is to fully obey God while fulfilling His Will. God has laid the Northeast portion of our country very strongly upon my heart. As I prayed through what God would have me do with this desire an amazing thing took place. As I returned to my daily office work (away from the beauty of the mountains and back in action) the very first piece of mail I picked up was an On Mission magazine and the very first article I read was a request for help from a small church in New York. Needless to say God prompted me to make contact with them and now before the end of the year my family and I will go and discover their needs. I am not exactly sure what God is going to do with our church in the Northeast but He is going to do something. The church overall is steadily losing ground in this portion of our country and God has chosen us to step in and help.
Secondly I have great desire for our church members to be “On Mission” on a regular basis. Has God laid an area of our vast world upon your heart? Does He want you to go somewhere and be His Ambassador for Christ? Don’t wait for God to speak to me to invite you to go somewhere or to send you to a certain place just jump in and see what God does with you. Yes, being “On Mission” can get expensive but God will provide the way as we yield to His calling. As our church grows in size and the number of places God desires us to go increases I will not be able to attend nor organize them all, but I will be able to pray for each and every one. Some will go “On Mission” right here in the Metroplex, others will go in different parts of Texas, some will be called to various parts of North America, and others to the rest of the world. Additionally, I also understand there will be a number of God’s children that He speaks to and says “give instead of go” on any particular mission. This is absolutely vital for success, and those who “give instead of go” are just as much a part of being “On Mission” as those who attend. Let’s all be a part.
God bless you as you go and as you give,
Bro. Bobby
It’s exciting to know we’ll be helping a church in New York City in some way. Look forward to hearing all about it in the future.
Hi, Bro. Bobby.
I thank God for you and the vision he has put in your heart for the church.
It is vital that more and more churches get involved with missions. There is need throughout the world.
I will always lift you, your family and the church up in my prayers, and I will seek God as to what he will have me do concerning missions.
With much Love,
Cassandra
Waiting…………..
Bro. Bobby,
It never ceases to amaze me how God brings his people together with the same vision – at the same time, to work together for his purpose. I know that Town East is growing and changing and that there are going to be “mission fields” that open up right here that we haven’t even dreamed of!
As you know, missions have long been on my heart and I so enjoyed being able to be part of the “mission church” on the beach in Corpus and I loved so much my music and Single Parent/Absent Parent Ministry in Berryville. My heart is in music and my heart is for the women and children who have gone through what my children and I have gone through – with God’s help. There are a whole group of our population, one that grows larger every day, that sometimes get overlooked in the “traditional” church. If I have learned anything in the past 15 years, it is that our world is changing rapidly and what we used to consider a “normal” family or a “traditional” church, just isn’t so any many. Just take a step outside of the “Bible Belt” and you will see! I’m have been blessed to be able to use the music as an avenue to reach out to that group that sometimes gets overlooked.
What I am trying to say is the doctors say I may have only another five years at the most. I don’t want to waste any time! I sing a song that says “Lead me Lord, I’ll Follow – Anywhere you Open up the Door.” I’ve spent the last several years doing just that, and I don’t plan on quitting now.
Let me know when Maine becomes an option. How wonderful for us to see that America still needs to be reached? We are losing ground as a Christian nation and something has to be done.
Bro. Bobby,
Sounds like you have several thoughts and plans in your head. I can’t wait to see what they are and how they will help our church. You have the best interest of the church at heart. Wonderful things will happen in following and obey the will of God.

I read your Ministry Vision post about the “On Mission” calling you feel in your heart. I will be praying for G-ds will to be done. Will support you all I can. Short and to the point. Thanks and G-d bless.
